October 2017 Newsletter Subject: Blessed is he, Whosoever Shall Not be Offended in me

“Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?  When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?” [John 6:60-61]
“Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” [Luke 17:1-2]
“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” [Matthew 11:6]
“Oh, my. And "Blessed is he who is not offended in Me." Now, don't be offended. I believe there's more people offended in Jesus than any other person that ever lived on earth. They get offended too quick. Jesus now in this misplaced beatitude, slipped over there so we could get it tonight. Why, He said, "Blessed is he who's not offended in Me. Don't be offended in Me. No matter what takes place, I'm... Everything's working right on schedule. So you just--just go ahead and believe it; that's all. Everything's all right. Just go ahead and believe it."  You know, there Jesus didn't rebuke John for that. He didn't say, "Well, I'm ashamed of My apostle. I'm ashamed of My prophet." No, He never said that. He didn't say, "What's the world going to say about this when you've come preaching, oh, such a great Messiah, and such a great Messiah, and then you send out to ask if I'm the Messiah." He never rebuked him.” [61-0425E The Forgotten Beatitude, Chicago IL]
“See, just, you watch. When you ministers are correcting someone about a gift, when you're correcting them, are Scripturally correcting them, and they get offended, remember, it wasn't the Spirit of God; 'cause the Spirit of God cannot be offended by His Word. He comes to His Word. See, he's always willing. A real saint of God wants to toe the mark. Yes, sir. I want to be corrected. I want the Holy Spirit to correct me in things that I'm doing that's wrong. I don't want nothing substitutionary. I--I want the real thing or nothing, just let me alone, don't--don't let me have anything at all. See? 'Cause I'd rather do that than to bring a reproach on the Christ.” [61-0112, Questions And Answers, Jeffersonville IN]
“"Well, there's the great Naaman the captain of the host of Syria out there; he's got leprosy." "Tell him to go dip in the Jordan seven times." Said, "Well, aren't you going out to see him?" "No, I ain't got time; I'm talking to the Lord now." So he says, "Why, he's reading the Scripture; he's in prayer; he won't come out." He said, "Go dip in the Jordan seven times." And oh, did he blow up? Oh, my. Just about like people do now. "Oh, I'll never go back to that old place again. Hum. I'll never have nothing to do with that bunch of holy-rollers." Blow up like a frog eating shot and go around like that. "Oh, I'll never have nothing to do with that no more; I just can't believe in that, no, no, no." That's the reason you're in the condition you are right now. That's right. The Word of God has laid out the way. "Me dip in them old muddy waters, no, sir. Well, the waters up in Syria is better than they are." “ [53-1201 God's Provided Way, West Palm Beach FL]
“I think about like like David did: He was so filled with the God's glory. When he seen that ark coming, he run out there and kicked his legs way up in the air, and begin to dance all around. And his little self-style wife (denominational like) looked out of the window, and she said, "Oh, how he embarrasses me." So that night when David come home, she said, "David, what was you doing out there (Acting like an idiot, in other words.), dancing around, carrying on, sticking your legs way up in the air?" He said, "I was dancing and rejoicing before the Lord." God looked down out of heaven, said, "David, you're a man after My own heart." Sure. And his wife got all puffed up about it, and what happened? She was barren the rest of her life; God put a curse on her. "Cursed is any man that'll touch God's anointed. Don't touch My anointed." That's right. "For it'd be better for you that a millstone was hanged at your neck and drowned in the depths of the sea, then even to offend one (That's right.) of these little ones that believe in Me. And these signs shall follow them little ones that believe in Me." That makes the distinction; that tells you whether you been at the conference or not. That's right. "These signs shall follow them." Oh, He's so good. There's no stopping place, is there?” [60-0608  Having Conferences, Chautauqua OH]
“Watch what that did to Jesus. He said, "Doth This Offend You?... Doth This Offend You?." See, she had the right approach to God's gift. You got to approach it right. When you're setting out there, when you're in church, when you're at the altar, wherever you are, you've got to approach God in the right manner. Favor... Faith always admits the truth. Martha, let's speak of her just a few minutes. Martha--we always think she was so dilatory about getting her house cleaned when she was going to entertain Jesus. Mary, a little lazy side, just set around and listened. Jesus, of course, said she listened to the better things. Rut Martha showed her color what she was, what was in her heart. She knowed that Jesus was the Son of God.” [62-0623 Perseverant, South Gate CA]
“Now Jesus never sent him a book on how to behave in prison, or what church he should have joined. But He said, "Stay around a little while and watch what happens, and then go show John the things that you have seen and done," because that His works that He did vindicated Him to be the Messiah, the Son of God. "Blessed is he who is not offended in Me." So many have become offended. So many people get offended so easy at the Word of God. It--it's contrary, they want to lean to their own understanding. They don't want to take the Word of the Lord. And they have to go just the way that--that they had been taught to go. And the way that they are taught, their church leans upon it. No matter if God promised He would--He would rain, have rain in the morning, and the church said "that's nonsense," they would believe the church instead of God. Because why? They are born of the church. But a man that's born of God, is of the Seed of God. And the Seed of God is the Word of God, and he only lives by That. That's his Life.” [65-0120 Lean Not Unto Thy Own Understanding, Phoenix AZ]
“One man one time by the name of David, who could've killed his enemy; God led him right up to the enemy, and the man that was searching for his life, and his--even his general said, "God has delivered him into your hands; take his life." And he cut the piece off of his coat, went back up, he said, "God forbid that I touch His anointed." That's right. So don't--don't say nothing evil about Christians. Don't try to harm Christians, 'cause you'll reap what you sow every time. "Touch not My anointed; do My prophets no harm. For it was far better for you that your--that you'd have millstone tied at your neck and drowned in the depths of the sea, than to offend My anointed." Is that right? So don't say nothing about Christians. Maybe some of them don't live just right, or do just right, but that--that's God's child. Let--let the Father take care of His own kiddies. You know? If we go to fighting one another, God give us both a whipping, maybe. So let's--let's just leave the other fellow alone and pray for him. Try to love him and correct him and maybe God will help him.” [54-0401 God's Preparation, Louisville KY]
“He never condemned him. He knowed that he was anointed with the spirit of Elijah. And that spirit was on him. That's what did it. He knowed everything was running all right, everything was running according to schedule. John... Why, was he a greater than--than all the prophets? Now, if you're spiritual, you'll catch something. Why was he the greatest? All the other prophets had spoke of the Messiah. But John introduced Him. He was the one that presented Him. So will it be in the end time. Everything's running according to schedule. Don't be offended. Just believe. Today the churches are offended in Him. The churches are offended. The people are offended. They're all flusterated. They don't know what to think. "Mental telepathy." Something else and all... No, don't be offended.” [61-0425E The Forgotten Beatitude, Chicago IL]
