QUESTION:

Where Is Holiness Displayed By Us?

ANSWER:

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, ‘Be ye holy; for I am holy.’” [1 Peter 1:15-16]

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” [Hebrews 12:14]

“Thank you, Brother Orman. We are happy tonight to be here to hear this wonderful message from--from the lips of our brother, that we believe to be anointed of the Holy Spirit to bring us these great tidings of, as is said, of exhortation: how we should live in this present day in HOLINESS before God and before one another. We--we--we want just HOLINESS among us that no filthy communications be heard among us at all as we profess this great calling of God. We must walk worthy of this thing that God has brought us to. And we're way down towards the end of the journey now, where we're expecting the exceeding abundantly above all that we could do or think. And remember, we want to constantly be in prayer. And above all things, watch your life: if your life don't tally up with God's HOLINESS, then go back and start praying again; there's something wrong. See? We must live in that kind of a state that the fruits of the Spirit will make Itself known through us. That's what we want to live. You know, sometime we hear great preachers who can preach mighty, but we'd rather see a sermon lived than we would heard one preached, see, 'cause that's the evidence that God is on the inside.” [63-0707e Communion, Jeffersonville IN]

“May I bring that a point: when we are judged by the Word, which is Christ, we're chastened. If we're doing wrong, we're not living up to this Word, we're chastened of the Lord. And when the Lord chastens us, that means corrects us, that we should not be condemned with the world. We are not of the world. We are different from the world, live a different life, a separated life. We're never to live the life of the world and be a Christian. We're to live a--a outstanding life, a different life. Not I don't mean in such social ranks, but I mean we're to live a life of genuine HOLINESS that the fruits of the Spirit might be seen in us: of meekness, and gentleness, and patience, long-suffering, faith: the fruit of the Spirit. But where--when we are--hear these things, then we know we're chastened of the Lord that we don't do them, then we're condemned. And if we have no condemnation within us that we're living above that thing, by the grace of God, then we're not condemned of the world, but we're living above the things of world.” [63-0707e Communion, Jeffersonville IN]

“You can see now, the end-time Message, why It's rejected. Can you? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Now, no denomination, but the revelation of His mystery. See, no denomination. The revelation! God is not known by denomination. He is known by revelation. Look! God in His Body, Christ; and Christ in His Body, the Bride. Oh-oh-oh, my! God made manifest in Christ; Christ made manifest in the Bride! And as God took from the body of Adam, the woman, and she fell; then God has took from the Body of Christ, His flesh, His Body, which is His Word, and is bringing a Bride out that won't fall by denomination or creed. No, sir. But She is coming back with the pure, unadulterated Word of God being manifested. I hope every man that hears this tape, and every woman, will understand that. See? She is the second Eve, but She is not breaking and--and spoiling Her skirts of purity and HOLINESS, to Her Husband. She'll stay with His Word regardless of what anybody says; you can have all the ecumenical moves you want to, and all the affiliations.” [63-0728 Christ Is The Mystery Of God Revealed, Jeffersonville IN]

“And the world has got into such a place. Now if a priest comes in and drink, the congregation has got a right to drink; there is your example, see. Oh, my, what a corruption we're living in! We need a housecleaning, all the way from the pulpit to the... Yeah. Yes, sir, we certainly do. How the corruption of the world! And these, no reverence, no respects! The people today, they don't respect God. They have no reverence. They take His Name in vain, and tell dirty jokes. And--and even ministers do that. You hear a--a joke, I guess would be all right. But ministers should be examples, I think, of what of--of righteousness and HOLINESS. And that's the reason I think maybe we--we don't get no farther than we do; we're not, don't come this, the sincerity that we ought to have in it. When you're carrying on, and going on, you lose that little grain of sincerity, you know. There is something about it.” [63-1114 Influence, New York NY]

“We've come times that people thinks that this HOLINESS before God is just some kind of a mockery, or some kind of a--a bunch of people who doesn't know, some kind of a cult or a clan, or something. But let me assure you, brother! There may be a lot of mockery. I--I don't say there isn't; I--I--I can't say that. I'm just a man. I ain't to judge. I'm just to preach. But there is a genuine Holy Spirit, genuine apostolic Power of the Holy Spirit. And in foreign countries, and witch doctors and things rise up, them devils, to challenge. Oh, if we'd just... I'd break my subject here, to go telling you about those things. And what? The Holy Spirit, never one time have I ever seen Him fail to do it. He'll do it every time.” [63-1114 Influence, New York, NY]

“And we want to be so big, and wear some kind of a big turned-around collar, some kind of clothes, you know, that makes us look so holy and reverent. There is no HOLINESS with us. We can't be holy; HOLINESS is of God. See? Certainly. It ain't a holy church, ain't a holy mountain; it's a holy God. That's right. Not holy people; a holy God! It's God in the people. Peter referred to the Mount Transfiguration, "the holy mount," it meant the holy God was on the mountain. Look at it now, see. But it was a holy God there, the Presence of God, what made it holy. It's the Presence of God in our midst now that brings HOLINESS, not my HOLINESS, not yours, but His HOLINESS. His Presence is what brings the HOLINESS. We ought to humble ourselves, cover ourselves in reverence, humility, and say, "Lord Jesus, receive me into Your Kingdom." His HOLINESS, not ours. Holy Spirit!” [63-1114 Influence, New York, NY]

“Well, you say, "They're just having a little clean fun." A little clean fun? Nothing! That thing doesn't... I don't care how much Sunday school teacher you are. If that thing is in your heart, God can't dwell in that unclean place. What we need is an old-fashion HOLINESS revival to sweep the church, from one end to the other. Yes, sir. We don't do that. That should not be permitted. But it's Americans having a little "clean fun," setting an example as a Christian nation. Oh, my! Educational system, that isn't Life. That's death.” [63-1115 The World Is Falling Apart, New York, NY]

“I read in the Bible, that God told John, on the Isle of Patmos, that, "the deeds of the Nicolaitanes," He hated. Nikao, "conquer laity," to conquer the laity and put all the HOLINESS in some certain men. HOLINESS is to all. The Holy Spirit fell upon the whole group. There is no holy man, anyhow, it's a holy God. We don't say "holy church, holy people." It's "holy God." We're not holy, but He is holy. Not a holy minister; it's the Holy Spirit, He ministers through the minister. It's not holy men; we're none of us holy. But they seemingly, too many times, are turning down the same opportunity.” [63-1116b Investments, New York NY]

“The Dynamics of this Church will be a refilling of the Holy Spirit that we have worked in a small measure while the Headstone is coming down to unite with the Body. But when that Head and Body unites together, the full power of the Holy Ghost would raise Her up just exactly like that; even the dead, that's dead in Christ, for hundreds of years ago, will rise in the beauty of His HOLINESS, and take a flight to the skies. The Dynamics is the Holy Spirit.” [63-1124m What Shall I Do With Jesus Called Christ? Jeffersonville IN]

“Drunk on the Spirit! If the Holy Ghost can just pour into you till you're so drunk you forget what your name is, till you forget all your doubts; get you so drunk on the Spirit till you forget your doubts, amen, then you can get somewhere with God. Then the cry, "once more," goes up from the sincerity, and then another one. Hallelujah! Filled with the Holy Ghost, these drunk on the Spirit; God's righteousness and HOLINESS, and power, get you so drunk till you forget who you are. You're nothing, to begin with. Remember, God wants to come into you. "Once more, Lord, once more! Once more, Lord, once more!" [63-1201e Just Once More Lord, Shreveport LA]

“Here not long ago, I was going with the wife, when we still lived in Indiana, a couple years ago, over to the little supermarket. I just come home. We had to go get some food. And on my road over there, we... It was the summertime, you might not believe it, but we found a lady had a dress on. And it was so strange, I... It shocked me. I--I said, "Look at there, that looks strange, that woman is wearing a dress." The rest of them was wearing clothing that didn't... not becoming to the woman. And--and she said... I said, "Well, that's just the American spirit, see, the spirit of America." Now, spirit of America, it's a... supposed to be a Christian nation, but the spirit of this nation is not Christian. It might be called a Christian nation, but it's a million miles from it, in characteristic. So, this woman, I said...She said, "Well, aren't we Americans?" Said, I said, "No. We live here. This is our country. We--we--we stay in it. We love it. It's the best nation in the world. But, yet, we're not Americans." I said, "We are born from Above. The Holy Spirit come down, and we belong to a Kingdom. It's not of this world." I said, "That's the reason that our sisters wear dresses, wear long hair, don't wear make-up." See, their characteristics identify them as 'HOLINESS unto the Lord,' from Above." [64-0320 God Identifying Himself By His Characteristics, Denham Springs LA]

“Just think, what caused every sickness, every heartache, every death, every trouble, every sorrow, this little spastic child, all these things, cripples, blind, every hospital to be built? Because one person just misbelieved one little part of the Word. That was Eve. Satan just coated it to her. Not quoted, but coated it to her, said, "Surely... The Lord is too good." You hear so much today about it being, God being a good God. He is a good God, but remember He is a God of HOLINESS, a God that cannot overlook sin. The penalty has been paid for, and you've got to accept it on His grounds. And remember, He is a God of anger, a God of wrath. And you'll stand before an angry God, not just a God of goodness and mercy. Tonight He is your Saviour; that Day He is your Judge. So be sure that you don't leave one thing undone, friend. It--it won't... It don't pay. Don't--don't just haphazardly go at it. Be sure, double sure, 'cause you don't get another chance. This is your only chance, while you're here on earth.” [64-0321e The Voice Of The Sign, Denham Springs LA]

“Beauty is of the devil, always. That's exactly right. And we might get to that, a little later on, so then find out. We see what Cain offered, and see what it was in Heaven, and find out what this world, vain beauty is, and what. Hollywood has took over, today, even the church. Yes, sir. It's a false conception, of the devil. Amidst the beauty of the Lord, in HOLINESS and Power; not in paint, and powder, and shorts, and everything else that they're trying to wear and do it. It's in beauty of the HOLINESS and righteousness. We are not of this world. We're from a kingdom that's Above, where dwelleth righteousness within. Yes, they won't adorn themselves with That; too much television, and so forth!” [64-0401 The Identified Christ Of All Ages, Louisville MS]

“So has God's people, in these last days, has forgotten what the testimony of being a Christian means. It's again, this amnesia has become upon the people. They can't identify themselves. They, they forgot all about It. They had forgot His HOLINESS. They had forgot His law. The women were living like the rest of the women. God's Church and His people has always been, "A separated people, a--a called-out people, a peculiar people, a holy nation, a royal priesthood; offering spiritual sacrifices to God, the fruits of their lips, giving praise to His Name." God called His Church and separated It from the world, for that very purpose. And He give it a law, and, He, It must be holy. He said, "I am holy, and you must be holy, and without HOLINESS no man shall see the Lord." God said that, Himself.  And He had called this people to be this type of people, but they had forgotten about it. They had forgotten His laws, and they had forgotten their morals. The women out in the street, Israelite women out there, each one expecting to--to be conceived by the Holy Spirit, to bring forth the Messiah, and then acting like that. Their character was terrible.” [64-0411 Spiritual Amnesia, Birmingham AL]
